Question: When is a guitar cloth not a guitar cloth?
Answer: When it’s a baby bib.
I am conducting research for a massive article due in the next few weeks. The article is essentially a buying guide for guitar accessories.
One of the items I was going to examine was microfiber cloths. Look at how small Maestro Guitar’s microfiber cloth is!
The cloth from Tomas Music is very generous and will cover your entire lap. The cloth from Planet Waves will barely cover your lap.
The cloth from Maestro Guitars should be able to catch errant peas and milk that fall out of your baby’s mouth.
To be fair, the cloth pictured is an old product.
My sources tell me that Maestro Guitars has a new cloth. I’ll go down to verify before I write the article.
But I can’t help but wonder what they were thinking when they launched the first cloth. Then again, what was I thinking, by buying it?
Apparently the new army towels are microfiber too. Just that they woven differently.
Wah. Time to use my army credits to buy new towels then cut them up and use them as guitar cloths!
