Typically, I’m quite wary of donating money to charities. Previously, I have donated my services as a classical guitarists for a wide variety of causes.
When I was an Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I worked with the National Volunteer and Philantrophy Center (NVPC) to perform for a wide variety of causes that include wildlife preservation and elderly care. I also peformed for the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF).
But recently, I came across an organization I just had to help.
Sanctuary House provides foster and medical care to babies and children who have been physically-abused and abandoned. My team and I are raising money for them online via Project Baby Love.
It saddens me to hear some of the horror stories these babies and children have faced in their young lives. The pictures and signs of physical-abuse are utterly heart-wrenching.
Babies with black eyes. Children with broken bones. Young ones abandoned by their parents.
I shudder to think of parents who would either abuse or abandon such defenceless, frail younglings.
There are many babies in my family. They are always cute, happy and pampered. It pains me to think that other babies and children are suffering so badly.
It pains me to think that any baby and children could suffer that badly.
I may not have blood ties to these babies and children. But I’m willing to help and support them because I believe all babies deserve love. Do you?
If you do, then go to Project Baby Love and donate generously.
Donations of above $50 are eligible for a 250% tax deduction.
