I’m absolutely thrilled that Dedrick was over the moon with his new tumbler:D
Besides the fact that he was eyeing it for the longest of time, the Starbucks tumbler also got my vote in terms of being environmentally friendly (No more Starbucks, Ice Limau and Kopichino in disposable cups!)
Besides being able to hold hot drinks comfortably, the economic kickback of having a tumbler is that you save 50cents each time you ask for your drink to be filled in it. However, to ‘cover the cost’ of this tumbler, you will need to have a Starbucks’ beverage 33 times. Smart maketing ay? However, what further impressed me was the voucher (as mentioned by Dedrick) which subsidised probably one-third of the tumbler.
As opposed to other companies, (I will not mention names) which use excessive packaging to jack up their prices and yet, still charge you for a plastic bag, Starbucks seems serious in walking the talk in terms of corporate social responsibility.
So buy a Starbucks tumbler, save the Earth, and make someone happy .
Wah machiam like advertising for Starbucks like that…
BTW, which company uses excessive packaging to jack up the prices? Mccafe? Coffee Bean?
I've never really noticed any coffee company using the tactics you described.
