Mc Donald’s: Discouraging studying

“Would you like to upsize your failing grades sir?”

Talk about a PR disaster. I know Mc Donald’s is a business, but shouldn’t they exercise some corporate responsibility?

I found this sign plastered to one of the walls at the Mc Donald’s outlet at Hougang Street 21.

It’s nice to see Mc Donald’s intentionally targeting and singling out students, as opposed to insurance and financial planning sales people, both of whom typically use Mc Donald’s as a meeting area for discussions.

Perhaps if that store manager had spent more time studying at a Mc Donald’s as opposed to merely eating at one, the manager would have caught the glaring typos.

The sign should read: “Strictly no studying on the restaurant premises on weekends and public holidays.”

It’s nice to know that Mc Donald’s has now turned into a great place to get fat and stupid.

When I was a kid, I hated studying on weekends and public holidays. Mc Donald’s shouldn’t be discouraging these industrious kids. Hell, Mc Donald’s should give them medals for studying on weekends and public holidays!
