If you would like to view a high-res version of my newspaper project, you can download it here!
I recently completed my newspaper project and am quite pleased with the final result. It should be noted that I personally produced every element in this project.
I conducted the interviews, wrote the articles, took the pictures, performed digital imaging (DI), conceptualized the layout and executed the layout. I am extremely happy with the results.
I chose to emulate Today’s design, hence the newspaper’s ironic moniker, ‘Yesterday’.
However, it would be erroneous of me to ignore the invaluable assistance of two men, Sukaimi Sukri and Cheng Peng Hui.
Sukaimi Sukri is the founder of Fat Pixel. He was kind enough to let me interview him. The always-entertaining and always-interesting Sukaimi proved to be an excellent subject. He’s also an excellent advertising man. You can learn more Fat Pixel here.
Cheng Peng Hui is a good friend and former colleague. He’s an up-and-coming, award-winning photographer. He has an unusual talent for composition. His most recent works can be seen in the latest issue of Pioneer, where he took the picture of the center spread (the fireworks picture).
Peng Hui’s advice and guidance were invaluable. He is available for photographic assignments, including wedding photography and event photography. You can view more of his works here.
