Bratwurst Shop – taste better than it looks

Several weeks ago, I had an undeniable craving for hot dogs and decided to satiate myself at the Bratwurst Shop at Plaza Singapura.

This was the first time I ate their signature Bratwurst. It won’t be the last. Their hot dogs are delicious!

I ordered a spicy beef sausage with bacon. By ‘bacon’ I mean actual bacon. No bacon bits here! The Bratwurst Shop uses its own specially baked bread instead of the generic hot dog buns you find at the supermarket. Their hot dog buns are firmer and drier than generic hot dog buns, but it complements the bratwurst and its toppings nicely.

The serving was of a manageable size but heavy eaters will be left disappointed.

My main gripe with the Bratwurst Shop is their pathetic excuse for a ‘dining area’. It seems poorly conceived and poorly maintained. My table still had bread crumbs on it when I was seated. Do peek at the seating area before making a purchase.

Though my spicy beef bratwurst with bacon looks it’s crawling with maggots, it was incredibly tasty. If you’re in the market for a $5-10 hot dog, give the Bratwurst Shop a try. It tastes much better than it looks.

The Bratwurst Shop is located at #B2-39, Plaza Singapura. It is located next to CHIPPY- British Takeaway.
