Here’s a recording I made of an arrangement of How Deep is your Love. I’m no expert at digital recording and manipulation, but I think I’m getting better!

What a difference 2 years makes. This piece was one of the first I recorded when I took the uncertain journey into producing my own music. I originally recorded it with a Zoom H2 and a Yamaha Silent Guitar because I had very little experience in home recording, and a direct line-in cable from the guitar to the recorder meant that I did not need to worry about ambient noise.
Now that I’m more comfortable with home recording, I have recorded another acoustic version using my Wataru Tsuji Grand Suprema. Both versions are pretty good, so I’m leaving both recordings here in case anyone wants to compare the quality of the Zoom H2 vs the Rode NT4.
I must admit that due to the variables, it’s not an entirely fair comparison, but personally, I prefer the sound I get from the Rode NT4 setup. Artistically, it comes much closer to what I’m trying to communicate.
